FAQ

How do I organise counselling with you Felicity?

Most, but not all people request a Medicare referral from their General Practitioner and contact me for an appointment.  You can contact me to arrange an appointment with or without a GP referral.  Please leave a message on M: 0409 414 540.

What about other services you provide and what do they cost?

For clinical supervision, consultation, workshops and training please contact me by telephone to discuss what you are requesting and fees. M: 0409414540

How often should I attend counselling?

Usually counselling starts with weekly or fortnightly appointments.  Once you have gained marked improvements you may reduce the frequency of appointments.  This would be to maintain the benefits or gradually gain further benefits.

What if I've tried counselling before and it didn't work?

Not all people match their treating practitioner.  It may be that, like with other relationships, you didn't click.  There may have been other reasons the counselling didn't work.  What's important is that you find what's right for you.

What can I expect in my first session?

You can ask as many questions as you like, and I will also ask you some questions about the issues you are bringing.  An initial assessment of the problem, a co-created plan for treatment and you deciding on your counselling goals are all part of your initial session.
You'll find my practice in Drummond Street, near the coffee shops and bakeries in the Rathdowne Street plaza area of Drummond Street.

What are your fees for counselling sessions?

I charge a gap payment above Medicare rebates.  Recipients whose only source of income is Centrelink benefits  can discuss the possibility of a discounted fee.

What is life coaching?

If you have good mental health and want support to change your life, then coaching is a way forward.  I work alongside you and challenge you to develop towards your goals.
